Our Acquisition Criteria

Mycelium has a set of acquisition criteria for operational solar PV plants. These criteria ensure that the acquired projects align with the company’s objectives and contribute to its financial projections. These are general considerations, as solar market conditions differ by jurisdiction it is active in.

The Acquisition Criteria are:

Transparent, and complete set of permitting documents are attained.

Acquired projects should have minimal variance to the assumption case for all acquisitions of de-risked operational projects.

Projects should be constructed and awaiting electrification or be operational. They should be in a cluster or aggregate of more than 5 MWp each.

All projects must have a Feed-in Tariff (FIT) of at least €60/MWh (or €0.06/kWh).

Projects should have annual irradiation of at least 1,500 kWh/kWp to 1,600 kWh/kWp (Greece).

Projects should be installed with Tier-1 hardware.

Landowner Development Partnerships:

We collaborate closely with landowners to understand their long-term goals and develop solar projects that provide benefits for both them and the surrounding community.

 

Our dedicated and diverse team of in-house specialists identifies suitable locations, conducts early feasibility studies—including market research and policy evaluation—and design medium to large-scale solar developments.

 

Our process includes:

  • Securing a mutually beneficial land lease, or purchase agreement with landowner
  • Engaging with the local community
  • Preparing and submitting a planning application
  • Consult and collaborate closely with local community and municipality to assess, plan and mitigate any adverse impact to the community and the environment.

Upon receiving planning approval, the project moves forward to procurement, engineering, and ultimately, construction.
