At MYCELIUM, we are steadfast in our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and integrating the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework into every aspect of our operations. To this end, we have developed the Mycelium Solar Growth AMC — a platform designed to deliver cutting-edge sustainable practices across its investment portfolio. Our approach is built on a solid foundation of detailed risk assessment and mitigation strategies that places sustainability in the forefront.
To us, sustainability is not merely an objective—it is the foundation of our operations. We align our strategies and initiatives with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, actively contributing to several of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our commitment is reflected in tangible projects and measurable outcomes.
Mycelium develops and operates utility-scale solar PV projects that contribute directly to decarbonisation. Our current solar farms deliver a combined installed capacity of 276 MWp. These assets generate over 527,000 MWh of clean electricity annually, supporting regional energy stability while reducing reliance on fossil fuels. As part of our Sustainable Infrastructure & Investment Fund, we are committed to investing in the development of over 5GWp of renewable energy in Southern Europe.
Our solar farms infrastructure use advanced technologies that optimise efficiency and reliability. Each project features bifacial Tier 1 modules and tracking systems that are adapted to site topography as well as high-performance inverters from trusted global brands. These choices reflect our focus on long-term asset performance and resilient infrastructure. But more importantly, through our strategic partnership with Nepcoe’s Centre of Excellence, we further foster green innovation with transformative research and development in advanced battery storage, smart grid interfaces and hybrid power solutions.
Mycelium is committed to responsible land use and local development. Across all three projects, we engage in long-term land rental agreements contributing to local income generation by prioritising partnerships with local contractors, supporting employment and economic activity within the host communities. As part of our sustainable real estate and logistics portfolio, we invest in properties that meet strict environmental and heritage criteria with a focus on regenerating underutilized properties, at the same time preserving cultural and heritage value.
We implement ethical supply chains and promote sustainable consumption patterns. Our every stage of project development and asset management stay true to the ESG principles. Likewise, we only engage vendors with strong ESG credentials that share our passion and commitment. From equipment sourcing to project lifecycle planning, we embed environmental and operational responsibility into every layer of our execution.
With a total installed solar capacity of 276 MWp, our solar farms prevent the release of an estimated 135,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. Over a 25-year operating life, this equates to more than 3.37 million tonnes of avoided emissions. Below is an approximate estimate of CO₂ reduction based on our annual production: Annual Energy Production: Approximately 527,072 MWh/year Annual CO₂ Emissions Reduction: Around 134,930 tonnes Total CO₂ Reduction Over 25 Years: Over 3.37 million tonnes
Collaboration is central to our approach. We partner with governments, local authorities and like-minded organizations to mobilize resources, share knowledge and achieve sustainable development objectives collectively. But none of this would be possible without our strategic partners. Through our collaboration, we mobilise private capital and technical expertise to scale green infrastructure and innovation where it matters most.
